Chloe Cox

Hello, I’m Chloe and happiest when busy doing something.  I’ve had amazing opportunities in my life, to be outdoors, travel and generally explore the world.  I love making adventures available to others.

I love to walk, camp, and travel in my campervan. But I’m happiest of all when I’m out on my mountain bike!

A little about Chloe

I spent my career running a leadership and development company.  I was incredibly lucky to have contracts that took me all over the world and gave me the chance to work in many different cultures.

Post COVID I lost the energy to rebuild the business.  Now in my 60’s I’m busy reinventing myself and making the most of this third of my life.

I’m passionate about nature and set up a community group with a friend of mine.  We help people create mini nature reserves in their gardens.  I’ve become a passionate wildlife photographer, especially insects.

I’ve camped, biked, swum, and hiked most of my life.  In my forties, I took up triathlon for a few years, but I prefer mountain biking!

I have two grown-up children and a granddaughter whom I love hanging out with.  She loves the outdoors too and she plans to be an otter trainer when she grows up!

Qualifications

I’ve taken many unusual routes in my qualifications.  My degree and post-graduate course were by self-directed learning.  I explored using the outdoors as a way of developing leadership and management skills and building teams.

I’m a qualified business coach and hold many qualifications relevant to that field.

In my 20’s I trained as a mountain leader, a climbing instructor and a canoeist and these continue to provided me with a foundation and experience I use to this day.

  • British Cycling Level 2 Mountain Bike Leadership Award
  • 2-day Outdoor First Aid
  •  Safeguarding training

I’m undertaking my Lowland Leader qualification this autumn

Jenny (Intro to Camping)

“My first activity with Love Her Wild was an adventure camping weekend. Having retired and moved across the country I was worried how I would meet adventure buddies. Everyone was so friendly but for me, the stand out was meeting Chloe, who has a superlative skill at drawing people out. I have since had some amazing adventures with Chloe at the helm. Chloe is meticulous in planning events, and her ability to adapt and lead in the moment to meet the needs of individuals means everyone is catered for.  Her passion for the outdoors is infectious.”

Debbie (Welsh Waterfalls Adventure)

“I’ve had the privilege of joining Chloe on several camping, wild swimming and hiking adventures – and have loved them all!
Chloe is inspirational. She champions and encourages women in the outdoors and is insightful and empathetic when leading a diverse group. As an experienced, well organised outdoor leader, with a calm, no-nonsense approach, you know you are in safe hands from the outset.
Chloe is great fun, incredibly generous with both her time and knowledge and has been instrumental in nurturing me in the wonderful outdoor world.”

Lea Anne (Waterfalls BUNKHOUSE)

I joined the 4 waterfalls walk organised by Chloe last year.
Was my first away date with LHW and tbh was a tad apprehensive at spending time away from my norm.
Chloe from the get go set the scene with her vision of all things to all people. She completely got a feeling for the group and facilitated our expectations of the weekend. We all relaxed into the waterfalls walk with chatting ,laughter and puffing up the hills. She managed the diverse group perfectly allowing for nurturing conversation but also women finding their own personal adventure.
The weekend was pretty perfect . Chloe has a skill to bring people together and find what makes them tick.
I hope to support her in any future adventures with LHW
